Chalice Well gardens - The Chalice well gardens with it's natural spring water flowing through it's a truly peaceful and spiritual place to visit. The gardens alone are a beautiful and peaceful space in which to while away the hours in meditation or contemplation. The water comes from a nature source and is thought to have wonderful healing properties so is taken by many on a regular basis. The orchards facilitate the making of their own honey and apple juice, both of which are splendid so we highly recommend taking some away with you.

Glasonbury Abbey - The beautiful ruins of the abbey are a photographic dream. The original scale of the abbey in all of it's splendour would have been larger than Wells Cathedral (just to give you some idea of its immensity). The Abbey grounds are a beautiful place to spend the day with a picnic on a lovely summers day or sit wrapped up warm in the winter having a cup of coffee.
The grounds have many different areas to explore or relax from orchards to the wildlife area so everyone will be happy!

Some believe that the Tor holds mystical powers.

Wearyall Hill - Wearyall Hill is reputedly the first landing place of Joseph of Arimathea and his companions and thrusting his staff into the ground, wearyall Hill became famous for the Holy Thorn Tree that grew from his staff. The original tree has been cut down many times but there has always been a replacement sprig from the original tree, being replanted in the same vacinity on the hill. Even at the present the Holy thorn tree is desperately trying to recover from an attack in December 2010.
The views across the Somerset flats are stunning and something to see so I recommend for all who have a positive energy to visit the hill and the Holy Thorn tree and will it on it's way to becoming and remaining a strong and prominent landmark of Glastonbury.
