Marazion is one of Cornwall's oldest market towns and was once a thriving trading port with merchandise coming from all over the world to St Michael's Mount's harbour. Before that The Castle was on a hill and Mounts Bay was a dense woodland. The last wolf of the country was believed to have died in this woodland! Stumps of the trees can be seen at low tide even today. Modern day Marazion offers beautiful safe sandy beaches with lifeguard patrols and safe swimming for children. It is the gateway to the National Trust 'castle atop a rocky crag' where you can walk across the causeway at low tide to St Michael's Mount and test your sea legs when the tide come in with one of the local ferry boats. Climb to the top to the castle and take in the breath taking view of the bay and back towards Marazion. With its handful of shops galleries and cafes Marazion is a perfect place for a relaxing intimate short break or holiday. A short stroll from Denham House of an evening and you can sample the selection of pubs and restaurants some with incredible Mount views and watch the sun go down over supper!

Directions to Denham House Bed Breakfast MARAZION

As you come down the A30 towards Penzance you will come to a roundabout with A30 Penzance right and A394 Helston left. Take the second exit signposted Marazion. At the next junction turn left and follow the road with the sea on you right. As you start coming into Marazion you will see a red telephone box on your left and Feliskirk Lane is just before. Drive to the second house from the top here is Denham House on your left.
