The Minffordd Hotel in Talyllyn valley Mid Wales is set in probably the most breathtaking scenery in Britain and is situated at the base of the Cader Idris with the summit being 1 12 miles NW of the hotel. The original parts of the building are over 400 years old so as you might expect the walls are very thick and there are plenty of originally features such as the original wood beams which can be seen throughout the building and our log fire which is a key feature during the winter months. We have 2 lounges available for guest to relax in at any time of the day maybe after dinner with a glass or two of your favourite drink from our extensively well stocked bar. Our restaurant seats a maximum of twenty people for dinner therefore reservations are essential to guarantee you a table especially at weekends. Breakfast is also served here with a selection of fresh fruit cereals and fruit juices full breakfasts are cooked freshly to order. .......................... We are ideally situated at the base of CADER IDRIS Mountain here in southern SNOWDONIA and a vast majority of guests are walkers and stay with us due to our location and easy access to the MINFFORDD PATH which is 5 minutes from our front door............................ We are also on the mach loop which is famous with plane spotters and photographers who also stay with us to view the low flying RAF aircraft that can be seen most days flying down the valley.................... Due to our scenic mountain location we are also favourite with landscapes and wildlife photographers who visit us to enjoy the fabulous scenery and wildlife. There are various golf courses ( Aberdovey Harlech Dolgellau Machynlleth ) locally and fishing (coarse game and sea) is also widely available locally........................ FURTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION.................... We do not issue front door keys and the front door is locked at 12 midnight................Pets are only allowed in 2 downstairs bedrooms rooms a twin and a double if these are taken then pets will not be permitted in any other bedroom please check before making the reservation with us to avoid any disappointments. .......................Dinner is served at 7pm each evening at £25.00 for 4 courses to include coffee don't forget to make your table reservation if required......................
