Welcome to our comfortable spacious three-bedroom holiday home just 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of York.With comfortable beds free parking free wi-fi well-equipped kitchen garden with BBQ toys and games 2 TVs and much more we offer an ideal base for your visit to York and its surroundings.Situated in a convenient high quality residential neighbourhood the centre of York is pleasant 10 minute stroll either down historic Bootham or along a tree-lined riverside path.We assure you of our personal attention from booking right through to the completion of your stay.Please read on for details of our facilities and scroll down for details of the neighbourhood.First floorFirst bedroom: This bright airy room with a bay window contains a 130cm double bed and a childs bed (suitable for children up to approx. age 7.) There is plenty of storage space dressing table comfortable chair and a TV.Second bedroom: This comfortable room contains a 180cm super-king sized bed. There is a large fitted warbrobe drawers comfortable chair and clock radio. There is space for an infant cot (either your own or we can loan you up to two!)Third bedroom: This is the largest bedroom containing 2 sets of full sized bunk beds suitable for either adults or children. In addition their is a basic sofa bed and a spare matress providing extra flexibility. There are two large wardrobes and a clock radio CD player.Bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath and separate wc. Ground floorSitting room: in addition to comfy sofas and a period fireplace (now converted to a real flame gas fire) there is a large TV with DVD player together with toys games and books for both adults and kids.Dining room: Opening onto the garden this spacious room features a wood burning stove (now converted to gas.)Breakfast kitchen: Large and well equipped this room also opens onto the garden through patio doors. Facilities include fridge freezer double sink microwave oven grill hob kettle toaster coffee grinder together with all the required crockery and cutlery. There is a washing machine.Shower room with wc.Garden with patio BBQ and kids toysFree wireless broadband is available (8MB) and telephone calls to UK landlines are available at no cost.NeighbourhoodThe house is situated within a pleasant quiet residential neighbourhood. Local shops include 2 sandwich shops delis a coffee shop 2 pubs Indian restaurant greengrocers butchers Spar and Sainsburys Local supermarket.There is a riverside park providing ample space for ball games and providing a relaxing route to walk into the city centre. A second park includes a very popular children's play area.An alternative route into the city centre is a 10 minute walk along Georgian Bootham. The Minster Walls and other tourist attractions are within easy reach as are York's vibrant shops bars and restaurants.The picturesque Yorkshire coast Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales are all less than one hour's drive away.

Directions to Holiday Home York YORK

By Car:Our office is located in the Burton Stone Inne on Bootham (A19) approx 0.5 miles from the city centre. Look out for a footbridge crossing the road - we are close to this. There is a car park at the rear of the Inn.For those guests who are not familiar with York be warned that the city centre contains pedestrian streets and one-way systems. For this reason we strongly advise using the York Northern Ring Road (A1237) and approaching from the North. Coming into York along the A19 from this direction (signposted 'Rawcliffe') we are about 30 yards before the footbridge on the left hand side.By Train:To walk to us from the station takes about 10-15 minutes. On exiting York Station by the main entrance (with the taxi rank) turn left. Follow the road past the Royal York hotel and cross straight over at the traffic lights. Go straight on and through the gate in the bar walls (city walls.) turn left and cross the river. Continue straight ahead to the next set of traffic lights. Turn left and continue to the next set of traffic lights. Turn left again into Bootham and walk until you see a footbridge crossing the road. The Burton Stone Inn where our office is located is on the right hand side.Alternatively pay about œ5-œ6 for a taxi!!
