Are you are looking for a peaceful relaxing place to stay but with the opportunity to take advantage of the many delights the Highlands has to offer? Then Mavisburn is the ideal place. Situated in a rural area and nestled within Auchterawe forest Mavisburn is just 2 miles from Fort Augustus and the southern shores of Loch Ness. There are glorious views of fields forest and mountains. The area offers peaceful and tranquil forest and river walks all a short walk from our front door. We have 3 rooms and guests can be accommodated in a large family room with a King size and twin beds complete with en-suite shower room a double room with king size bed and en-suite facilities or a single room with private shower and w.c (A bath robe is provided for the use of guests in the single room). All rooms have colour TV DVD hospitality trays hair dryers and clock radios. Basic complementary toiletries supplied in all bathrooms. Free WiFi available in all public areas.

Directions to Mavisburn BB FORT AUGUSTUS

Inverness A82 South. Before reaching the village of Fort Augustus passed the Inch Hotel on your right you will see a sign for Auchterawe. Turn right and follow this road until you reach the T junction. Turn right here where it is sign posted for Auchterawe. After approx 500m the road bends off to the left onto a single track road into the forest where you will see a brown tourist sign saying Accommodation 2 miles. Continue along this road for two miles passing cottages and houses on your left. Just passed Auchterawe House on the left is Mavisburn BandB. Please do not rely on a GPS as it may lead you to an electricity sub station. Please keep coming along the road following directions as above.From Fort William A82 North. Continue along the A82 through Fort Augustus village over the canal swing bridge and passed the Gulf Petrol station on the right. After the tourist car park turn left sign posted for Auchterawe up a short sharp hill Bunoich Brae. At the T junction turn left where it is sign posted Auchterawe. Continue for approx 500m where the road bends off to the left onto a single track road into the forest where you will see a brown tourist sign saying Accommodation 2 miles.
