Welcome to Penygawse and the lovely town of Llandovery. Lynne and Allan Stather bought the premises in March 2004. The building is a grade II listed building built in 1725 and was host to a drapery store and most recently a butchery. The canopy dates to 1855 and is protected through CADW as it is of significant historical interest. The guest house is centrally located and within walking distance of several restaurants and licensed premises. All rooms have been fully re-fitted to include en-suite facilities and TVDVDCD as well as teacoffee making facilities with complimentary bottled Welsh water and chocolates. Please be aware that we are unable to accept payment by card and would kindly request settlement of bills by cash or cheque upon departure. We are situated in the centre of the ancient market town of Llandovery directly on the A40. Our grade II listed property has a very distinctive black metal canopy adorning its' front elevation which helps it stand out within the town. If you are approaching from Mid-Wales on the A483 you will need to turn left when you reach the t-junction in the town and follow the A40 into the centre we are on the left as you come through the town.
