Queen Margaret University offers campus-based student accommodation in lovely grounds overlooking eastern Edinburgh Arthur's Seat the Forth coastline and the rolling East Lothian countryside. The campus is located in Musselburgh on the eastern outskirts of Edinburgh and is quickly reached by trains (6 mins) and buses (30 mins) from Edinburgh city centre. We have 700 en-suite bedrooms available for visitors. These single and double rooms are clustered into 3 4 5 and 6 bed flats. There is a kitchen with a practical dining and living area in each flat. We can also offer first class sport and leisure facilities for a small charge. This is the ideal base for visitors to the historic and cultural city of Edinburgh the Edinburgh Fringe Festival the Forth coastline Pentland Hills. There are several excellent hiking trails nearby. And for keen golfers there are some excellent golf courses within easy reach - you have a choice of city coastline and hillside courses!!We have friendly staff on reception from 8am to 9pm 7 days a week to help with directions to the best restaurants pubs and attractions in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Breakfast or internet access are not included in the rates. If you intend to bring a laptop wired internet is available if arranged at time of booking for œ10.00 per IT account .

From Central Edinburgh by Bus: 25 mins - Take the LRT no 30 or 45 from Princes Street George Street directly to the new campus. You can also take a LRT no 26 44 or 15 to Musselburgh High Street and follow the walking route set out below.From Central Edinburgh by Train: 6 mins 11 mins - The campus is located right beside Musselburgh train station whilst Newcraighall Park and Ride Station is located 15 mins walk to the north west of the site. Musselburgh station is served by trains from Edinburgh Waverley and East Lothian. Newcraighall is served by trains from Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket West Lothian and Stirlingshire.From Central Edinburgh by Cycle: 30 mins - National Cycle Route 1 runs from Waverley Station to the campus. There are also many quiet roads in the Musselburgh area which would allow for safe cycling.By Car from Central Edinburgh: 20 mins - Craighall is on the eastern outskirts of Edinburgh. From the East End of Princes Street or Queen Street take the A900 down Leith Walk. At the Picardy Place roundabout take the third exit onto London Road (signposted A1 Berwick upon Tweed). Follow the A1 signposts turn right into Willowbrae Road at the traffic lights junction shortly after Meadowbank Stadium. Continue for 2 miles until you reach a roundabout. Take the third exit (signposted A1). Stay on the A1 until you see the exit signpost for QMU'. Walking from Central Musselburgh: 15 mins - Starting at the Brunton Theatre on Bridge Street going south towards the River Esk continue to Eskview West. Go up Eskside West until the junction with Olivebank Road. Go across the road to Eskview Road. Walk along it until you come to the junction with Stoneybank Terrace. Take a right onto Stoneybank Terrace continue forward onto Whitehill Farm Road and straight on to the pedestrian entrance to QMU.
