The Read's Hotel is a family owned Licensed Hotel and is ideally situated on the North Side opposite Scarborough's famous County Cricket Club and has superb sea coastline and castle headland views. We have a large car park at no extra cost to our customer. All our comfortable bedrooms have colour TV's. Tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms. En-suite rooms with toilet and shower. Read's dining room is large bright and pleasant with sea views. Your meals are served at your own table. A breakfast menu is offered daily. The Reads Breakfast offers you a choice of Fruit Juice .Grapefruit Cereals including muesli. Then you have a choice of a full cooked breakfast and how you would like your eggs. Or for the smaller appetite you choose. Or you may be vegetarian that's fine you tell us your choice and it will be prepared for you. Then you may order Tea Coffee and your toast butter marmalade jams . Bon Apetite. There is a sea view lounge for you to relax in with your papers if you so desire. Our Bar also has amazing Sea Views and also a pool table.. We are within walking distance to the beach and within 10 minutes to the town centre. If you wish to explore further we have lots to offer. The Fishing town of Whitby is only 20 miles away .on the way there is Robin Hoods Bay. Or go the country way to the beautiful Thornton le Dale and Pickering town where you could travel back in time on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train. There are coastal and country walks. The moors and forest drives. We also have the North and South cliff Golf clubs short distance away from the Hotel. And a 15 minutes drive is the P.G.A. Ganton Golf Club. There are plenty of fine dining Restaurants Indian Chinese Thai Italian Also Family Pubs and easy on the pocket eatery's.On a night there are pubs clubs and casinos.

Travelling by car within a 40 mile radius from York City it will take approx 1 hour and the roads are well signed you will be on the A64 straight into Scarborough to the Railway station which will appear on the right.At the traffic lights go left onto North way across 2nd set of lights carry straight on down Colombus ravine to Peasholme park on your left look to your right and you will see Victoria park ave drive up here to the cross roads drive straight on you will now be on Queens parade keep driving and The Reads Hotel SCARBOROUGH is on your right . If you are travelling by coach the main coach park is called The William St Coach Park which is also only a 10 minutes walk and you need to head to North Marine Road you take a left and continue walking and again you will see the Reads on the right hand side of you opposite the Cricket Ground. Our nearest airport is Leeds Bradford which is 70 miles from us. Then the next is Manchester Airport which is 120 miles. Our main landmark nearest to us is Scarborough Castle which is visible from most directions and of coarse Oliver's Mount War Memorial . The Reads is set on the North of Scarborough overlooking the North sea so the views are fantastic.
