The Bear Inn is in the Town Centre of historic Bridgnorth and is at the end of the High Street in Northgate. Our large garden backs on to a 200 space car park for which you will be charged œ2.00 by the attendant. Please note that this car park is not available on Friday night due to the Saturday market however there are two other car parks two minutes away.The Guest Accommodation which has been awarded 3 stars by The Shropshire Tourist Board is situated on the first and second floors. Each room has a flat screen TV with a built in DVD player CD Player and radio. Each room also has an electric heater or central heating. In your room you will also have 2 towels per person toiletries and bottled water. There are also in-room tea and coffee facilities and biscuits.Room 1 has a double bed and a single bed and an en-suite bathroom with an integral shower. Room 2 has a double bed and an ensuite shower room. Room 3 is a small double room with an ensuite which has lovely views of St. Leonard's Church and the roof tops. Room 4 is a luxury double with views of the churchThe Bear Inn accepts only advance payment bookingsStaff will not enter guest rooms unless requested to do so therefore we ask you to put the 'please service my room' sign on your door.PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE A LIVELY PUBLIC HOUSE AND WE HAVE LIVE MUSIC ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY EVENINGS.There is an ironing and ironing board available upon request.Please note that the wifi is subject to equipment compatibility and it is your responsibility to set the connection up.Bridgnorth Town consists of the High Town and the Low Town and there is loads to see and do. From the Bear walk a few steps and you will arrive at the Northgate Museum. After spending some time here carry on into the High Street and you cannot miss the Town Hall - this is defintiely worth a visit. Carry on and you will soon arrive at the Cliff Railway which will take you down to Low Town. It is worth walking either on the way down or up depending on your level of fitness as the Cartway should not be missed! Once in the Low Town have a walk along the river banks and then when you head back up to High Town take a walk around the Castle Walk. The views are amazing!At the Bear there is a large garden with 3 separate areas: The main seating area which has several tables and chairs. There is a large parasol for those that do not like to sit in the sun and also a large gazebo under which we have several wrought iron tables and chairs. This area leads on to the safe enclosed play area in which there is a play house a play unit with a slide a swing and a baby swing. There are also garden toys and a sand table. We also have an area in which our chickens and ducks live. We currently have 12 rare breed hens. They lay blue green buff and white eggs. We also have two Indian Runner ducks - Halo and Pumpkin and two beautiful white Aylesbury Ducks and 1 Khaki Campbell. Traditional Breakfast is available for œ5.00 p.p.
