The Dragon is a very old hostelry located on the High Street. The town is regarded as a jewel of the Brecon Beacons Black Mountains National Park. Nestling in the gorgeous Usk valley Crickhowell is surrounded by mountains and comprises a Norman castle and a collection of early Georgian houses and cottages. It's a beautiful spot and a perfect base for adventures in the National Park.In addition to walking cycling and motor touring the park offers pony trekking hang gliding sailing canoeing fishing shooting golf and many natural and historical attractions. The latter include waterfalls fortresses ancient abbeys canals and mountain railways.The team at the Dragon is led by the owner Ashley Robert Nield. He purchased the building on 31 July 2007. An ex-journalist who has worked for national newspapers and magazines he decided to return to Wales when London and the travelling life had lost their allure. It's a friendly fun atmosphere and about as far removed from a corporate hotel environment as it's possible to get.

When entering the centre of the town of Crickhowell turn left at the momument and drive 200 meters down the High Street where The Dragon Inn Crickhowell is located on the left-hand side. The enterance to the car park is to the left of the building.
