The Log Cabin is a gorgeous traditional Norwegian pine cabin set high in the picturesque hills of highland Perthshire. We are only 20 minutes drive from Pitlochry where on the way you can enjoy the remote beauty of Moulin Moor and see the sheep relaxing by the roadside it's a beautiful drive! The hotel itself is set in secluded woodland where you can often spot local wildlife such as red squirrels deer pheasants rabbits and buzzards from your own bedroom windows. From our front bar you can enjoy stunning views down the glen and local countryside while eating some great food cooked using local ingredients such as venison sirloin steaks and even local honey(and yes we have our own resident beekeeper!). Our friendly staff will make sure you are well looked after and children are very welcome as we have a special kids menu and a kids play area with an electronic air hockey table giant connect 4 and lots of toys to keep the young ones amused. As well as double and twin rooms we also have family rooms that have a double bed and then either bunk beds or 2 single beds although the bunk beds are always very popular with the kids.All of our rooms have coffeetea making facilities flat screen TV's and en-suite bathrooms.Our bar opens at 5pm Monday-Friday and 12md on Saturday and Sunday. Evening meals are served every night from 6pm and lunches on Saturday and Sunday only from 12.30-2.30pm. Check- in is from 3pm each day so please plan to arrive after this time as the hotel is not open during the day on weekdays.

Directions to The Log Cabin Hotel Kirkmichael

The village of Kirkmichael is on the main A924 equal distance (about 14 miles)between both Pitlochry and Blairgowrie. Once you arrive in Kirkmichael you turn over the bridge (right if coming from Pitlochry and left if coming from Blairgowrie)and drive up the tarmac road past the school turning quite a sharp left between 2 houses and then follow that road until you come to a large house called 'Curran House' (which is painted a burn't orangeyellow colour) where you turn right and head up the hill and you will find the hotel at the top. It only take about 3 minutes from the middle of the village.
