It's beautifully thatched roof and white stone walls are a monument to those travellers who once rested here centuries ago after quenching their thirst and satisfying their hunger with the finest of old English Fayre.Having been constructed in Anglo-Saxon times the Old Ferry Boat is England's oldest inn. Historical documents record that liquor was first retailed here as early as 560 A.D although experts estimate that the foundations are a century older. Whether visiting the area on business or for pleasure the Old Ferry Boat is a delightful place to stay. At Holywell near Needingworth which is signposted from the A1123 between St Ives and Earith. Turn at the Holywell sign and follow the road round for about one mile to the Old ferry Boat Inn. We are less than 10 minutes drive from the A14 and M11.
