The Ravensworth is an elegant detached Lakeland stone residence. Now a Four Star Guest House we offer modern amenities warm hospitality and comfortable surroundings whilst in-keeping with the character of the original building. We are ideally situated in the heart of the English Lake District just a short distance from Windermere village and only 1 mile away from the Lake. Windermere rail station is only a few minutes walk away making us the perfect base for walking cycling sight seeing shopping and eating out during your stay. We have ample off-road parking for guests at the front and rear of the building. Our charming en-suite bedrooms offer you a relaxing stay. Each room has a flat screen TV with built in DVD player radio alarmipod docking station tea and coffee making facilities and a private safe. Guests are welcomed into the lounge where you can browse our DVD collection and library go-online at our internet station (Wi-Fi is also available) or simply relax in the comfortable surroundings. On warmer days retreat to our garden terrace and unwind with a cool drink. We also enjoy membership of one of the Lake District's finest Health and Spa Club's offering a fully equipped gym swimming pool and Spa. Directions to The Ravensworth Guest House WINDERMERE

From the south:Take junction 36 of the M6 and then follow the A591 to Kendal and Windermere. Follow the dual carriageway to the large roundabout just outside Kendal. Do not follow the signs into Kendal but carry on the A591 to Windermere. After passing the Windermere village sign stay on the main road (A591) ignoring the sign into the town centre and we are about 200 metres on the left hand side just before the church.From the north:Take junction 40 of the M6 and the A66 to Keswick after 400m follow the A592 to Pooley Bridge Patterdale and then Windermere. You eventually reach a mini-roundabout where you turn left and join the A591 to Windermere we are mile on this road on the right hand side just after the church.By Rail:The nearest mainline railway station is Oxenholme at Kendal. Windermere station is linked to Oxenholme by an hourly local train service and we are a couple of minutes walk from here. Taxis are available at the station if you require assistance with luggage.
