The Troutbeck Inn in the quiet hamlet of Troutbeck was once the Station Hotel when the railway was still operating between Penrith and the west coast. It is now a 4 Star Country Inn with Cottages. There are 7 newly refurbished ensuite bedrooms including doubles twin family and single plus 3 self catering cottages. Most of the bedrooms offer wifi connection and wonderful views of the surrounding fells plus complimentary tea and coffee making facility and freeview television. The Troutbeck Inn is open to both residents and non-residents in our bar loungebar and restaurant (for restaurant dining it is recommended that you book in advance). Dinner is from an a la carte menu which is freshly prepared using the best quality ingredients sourced locally where possible. To compliment your meal we have a carefully selected wine list and full bar with local real ales. Lunch is served in the bar and loungebar. We welcome well behaved dogs in all of our bedrooms by prior arrangement but must not be left in the room unattended. PLEASE BOOK YOUR TABLE FOR DINNER PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AS WE CANNOT PROMISE AVAILABILITY FOR RESIDENTS UNLESS PRE-BOOKED. Residents and non-residents who wish to dine with their pet can do so in the bar. Troutbeck is ideally situated for fell walking both Blencathra and Helvelyn are just a short distance away. Ullswater lake is 5 miles and the popular market towns of Keswick and Penrith are both 8 miles away. Directions to The Troutbeck Inn Penrith

Exit M6 at J40. Travel west along the A66. After 8 miles turn left onto the A5091. Troutbeck Inn is not far on the left.
