The Lansdowne is located in Robertson Terrace which was named after Patrick Robertson the Conservative Member of Parliament who was responsible for the development of this very elegant area in the early 1850 s. br / br / br / br / The history of the Robertson Street/town centre area in Hastings is far richer and more extraordinary than many people would ever believe. An area covered by Harold Place the Queens Hotel Robertson Terrace Carlisle Parade White Rock Robertson Street Trinity Street and Claremont this area to the West of the Priory-Stream was outside the Hastings Borough boundary and was the result of the sea receding. The occupants living in the area hoisted the American Stars and Stripes flag which was a symbol for victory and declared independence. This is how the area became known as the America Ground. br / br / br / br / Situated in what has to be one of the most prime locations of Hastings seafront everything you need is right on your doorstep whatever your requirements. br / br / br / br / Please note that breakfast is available at the guest house - £7.50 per person. br / br / br / br / Guest are requested to provide a mobile telephone number when booking. Guests are also requested to inform the property of their expected arrival time. This can be noted in the Special Request box whilst booking. br / br / br / br / Check-in is available until 22:00. A later check in time may be possible however you must contact us to request this. br / br / br / br / Free parking is available outside the Guest House between the hours of 18:00 - 08:00 Monday - Sunday. When parking outside these times charges are applicable. br / br / br / br / Guests can bring their own children cots in the room no charges apply - but this cannot exceed number of children allowed in the room. br / br / br / br / Please note that guests must provide a valid credit/debit card when booking and these details are used to authorise 1 nights accommodation anytime after the booking was placed and also held for security.

M25 - Road: Continue onto M25 continue onto A21 (signs for Hastings) go through 4 roundabouts at the roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on A21 heading to Hastings/Flimwell go through 3 roundabouts. Slight left at Sedlescombe Rd N/A21 (signs for St Leonards) continue to follow A2 continue onto White Rock Rd. Turn right to stay on White Rock Rd take the 1st left onto Schwerte Way turn left at White Rock Rd/A259. Turn left at Robertson Passage Destination will be on the right.
