Directions to Crown Hotel Southwold

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: DIRECTIONS TO SOUTHWOLD FROM LONDON Make your way to the M25/A12 junction just south of Brentwood: Travel on A12 past Chelmsford Colchester and Ipswich pick up A12/A14 route via the Orwell Bridge. Stay on A12 and head for Woodbridge/Lowestoft. Travel on past Woodbridge Saxmundham Yoxford and Darsham. 5 miles after Darsham on the A12 you will arrive at Blythburgh (noted for its Church on the Marshes). 3/4 of a mile past Blythburgh turn right off A12 to Southwold/Reydon. 4 miles further on you arrive in Southwold. Travel straight through the main street and you will find The Crown Hotel on the left hand side. Drive on the left side of the building to the car park. (Travel time approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from A12/M25 93 miles) DIRECTIONS FROM CAMBRIDGE MIDLANDS AND NORTH Pick up A14 and pass Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds. At Stowmarket turn off on to the A1120 for Yoxford (26 miles of winding country roads). At Yoxford turn left onto A12 and follow above instructions. Alternatively stay on the A14 to Ipswich then follow the A12/A14 route via the Orwell Bridge (see above). This is a slightly longer route but uses better roads. (Travel time from Cambridge is approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes 75 miles). DIRECTIONS FROM NORWICH A146 towards Lowestoft. At Beccles turn right at the Morrisons roundabout. Follow the Southwold signs through the centre of Beccles and head out on Southwold Road A145 (13 miles). On reaching A12 turn left for 300 yards then right and follow above instructions. (Travel time approximately 50 minutes 32 miles) RAILWAY LINKS National Express railway links from London Liverpool Street to Darsham/ Halesworth Travel time is approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. National Express railway links from Norwich (links to the Midlands available from this station) Travel time 1 hour 30 minutes
