P Set in the heart of the North Devon countryside the Visit England four star Woodford Bridge Country Club is a rural retreat with a 15th century thatched coaching inn at its centre. It features a leisure centre with heated indoor pool whirlpool steam room sauna fitness centre squash and badminton. P/ P The spacious apartments surrounding the main building include a well-equipped kitchen with hob microwave toaster kettle and coffee machine. Some apartments have a balcony or terrace. Guests may be allocated in apartments or lodges in the grounds. The cosy suites are located in the main thatched inn and include a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. All accommodation has a private bathroom with bath or shower and hairdryer. Freeview TV DVD player stereo and iHome alarm clock are also provided. P/ P Cromwell s Bistro serves home prepared food using the best quality locally sourced ingredients. The bar offers light meals and refreshments. For your convenience a grocery store is also available on-site. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property at an additional cost. P/ P There are a number of picturesque Devonshire towns in the surrounding area including the historic market town of Barnstaple just 20 miles away. Tintagel Castle the rumoured birthplace of King Arthur is 35 miles away and Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are both easily reached within an hour. Holsworthy Golf Club is just 9 miles. P/ PLEASE NOTE: All special requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Requests for wheelchair accessible accommodation must be confirmed by the resort. Children of all ages are included in the maximum occupancy of the apartments. Please provide a printed copy of your booking confirmation on arrival. P/ P A refundable security deposit of £100 per apartment is required upon arrival. This deposit is obligatory and must be paid with a valid debit or credit card. Cash is not accepted. Guests who are unable to provide the deposit will not gain entry to the apartment. Additional fees apply for the use of the leisure centre and other resort facilities. Please contact the property directly for further information. P/ P Only hotel guests are permitted on the premises and to use the hotel facilities. Pets are not allowed at the hotel. Apartments are not cleaned on a daily basis. The number of cleans depends on the length of stay. Extra cleaning services are available for an additional fee. Sofa beds are not made up on arrival please contact the property directly to arrange this in advance. Late checkouts may be possible subject to availability late checkout charges will apply. Wifi is available from £5.95 per day for 2 devices. Charges vary depending on room type. Car parking space is limited to one permit per room. Landline telephones are provided in your accommodation and reception can transfer calls from our main line to your accommodation. Alternate Directions From Heathrow International Airport Take the Heathrow Express service from your terminal of arrival to London Paddington train station. The Heathrow Express departs every 10-15 minutes throughout the day. From London Paddington take a train to Exeter St Davids train station. Trains depart roughly every hour both on weekdays and Sundays. On weekdays departures are from 7.57am until 7.57pm. From Exeter St Davids take the X9 bus service to Holsworthy church. On weekdays there are 5 buses per day. On Sundays and public holidays there are only 2 buses per day 1 at 12.20pm and 1 at 5.35pm. From Holsworthy church take the bus service number 85 to Woodford Bridge. The bus 85 does not run on a Sunday. A pre-booked pick up from Holsworthy is available on Sunday by the resort. Driving: Driving on the M5 south bound exit at junction 27 onto the A361 following signs to Barnstaple. At Portmore roundabout take the A39 to Brideford. After approximately 10 miles take the A386 to Torrington (right turn). At Landcross turn right on to the A388 (signposted Holsworthy) going through Salterns and Frithlestock Stone. At Stibb Cross turn right (signposted Holsworthy) continuing on the A388. After approx 3 miles you will find Woodford Bridge on the right hand side at the bottom of a very steep hill.
