An exclusive rural retreat in Speyside offering luxury bed and breakfast and fully catered and serviced accommodation. Cardhu Country House is at the very heart of the Whisky Trail where more than half of Scotlands malt whisky distilleries are to be found. The house is situated only a mile from the River Spey famous for its fine salmon fishing and from the Speyside Way a long distance walking and cycling route which links the Cairngorms to the Moray Coast. Cardhu House is a former manse which has been lovingly restored to offer luxurious accommodation over three floors. Contemporary en-suite bathrooms have been added to the six spacious bedrooms. Public rooms all boast open fires and our food is freshly prepared in our kitchen using only the finest local ingredients.

Directions to Cardhu Country House Aberlour

Directions by Car - From Aberdeen take the A96 northbound to Inverness toward Huntly and Keith. At Keith take the A95 to Craigellachie from Craigellachie turn right onto A95 towards Elgin and then take the B9102 for Knockando passing Macallan for six miles. Continue through Archiestown and turn right after another two miles following brown Whisky Trail signs to Cardhu Distillery. Just before the distillery take the left turn towards Knockando church follow the road turning left again to the church and the house is situated just opposite. From Inverness take the A96 eastbound to Forres. Turn right at the roundabout into Forres and follow the Whisky Trail signs leaving Forres on the B9010. After approx 6 miles turn right on Pitchaish following Cardhu distillery signs. When reaching B9102 at Upper Knockando turn left follow road for approx half a mile turn left following brown Whisky Trail signs to Cardhu Distillery. Just before the distillery take the left turn towards Knockando Church follow the road turning left again to the church and the house is situated just opposite From The South leave the A9 north of Aviemore and take the A95 and follow it through Ballindalloch to Marypark and then turn left to Knockando (follow brown Whisky Trail signs for Cardhu distillery right onto B9102 just over the river Spey bridge). After four miles you will pass through Upper Knockando. Turn left after half a mile into Cardhu following distillery signs. Just before the distillery take the left turn towards Knockando Church follow the road turning left again to the church and the house is situated just opposite. By air - The nearest airports are Inverness (50 mins) and Aberdeen (1hr 20 mins) By train - The nearest stations are Forres (25 mins) Elgin (25 mins) and Aviemore (50 mins)
