Directions to An Caislean Ballycastle

Ballycastle Town Centre - Road: Take the road through the town towards the seafront following the signs towards the Rathlin Island ferry. We are opposite Ballycastle Integrated Primary School approximately half way down the road. There are no restrictions on roadside parking outside An Caisleán (the blue numbered roadside markings are for stalls for an annual fair - not for cars!). Otherwise there is parking to the rear of the premises - take the passageway to the left of the nearby Castle Hostel. br/ br/ Ballycastle Seafront/Causeway Coastal Route - Road: At the Marine Hotel take the road towards Ballycastle Town Center away from the sea. We are approximately 50 meters up that road on your right directly opposite Ballycastle Integrated Primary School. For parking drive into the passageway to the left of the nearby Castle Hostel. br/ br/ Belfast - Bus: Buses to Ballycastle leave from the Europa Buscentre (same building as Great Victoria Street Railway Station). A single ticket can be bought for Ballycastle (about £11). The most direct bus is the 218/217/131 service. Take the 218 bus (direction Coleraine or Portrush). Change buses at Ballymena where you can take either the 217 (express) or if unavailable the 131 bus to Ballycastle. A longer option from Belfast is the 252 via the picturesque coastal route. Bus stop: Ballycastle Marine Corner br/ br/ Belfast - Train: Take the train from Belfast Central Station or Belfast Great Victoria Street Station (same building as Europa Buscentre) to Ballymena or Coleraine. From Ballymena take the 217 (or slower 131) to Ballycastle. From Coleraine take the direct 171 coastal 172 or lengthy 178 to Ballycastle. If too late to catch any bus connections to Ballycastle taxis are easiest to pick up at Coleraine (or contact An Caisleán directly to see if we can arrange pick-up) br/ br/ Derry/Londonderry - Train: Take the train from Derry (also known as Londonderry) to Coleraine (direction Belfast). This railway line is very scenic traveling along the coast. At Coleriane take any bus to Ballycastle (171 172 or 178) or take a taxi for about £20.
