Beechwood is a family run superior bed and breakfast in Bowness in the Lake District and is a traditional Lakeland style 1900s house retaining many of its original features. Our rooms are individually decorated to suit the period in which the house was built and all home comforts are provided to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Beechwood boasts an elegant lounge where you can relax after a day s activities by simply reading having a go at our jigsaw or just unwinding with a glass of wine in front of the fire. The accommodation is ideally suited for exploring the Lake District and there are excellent transport links. Beechwood is a mere 10minute stroll from Lake Windermere and all local amenities such as shops restaurants bars and local attractions. You can travel by boat to Ambleside in the North or Lakeside to the South o take the island cruise around Windermere

Directions to Beechwood Bowness-on-Windermere

From the M6 take junction 36 onto A590. Continue onto A591 till Windermere. Turn into Windermere village drive through the one way system towards Bowness (about a mile). As you pass the Police Station on your left the road bends left Beresford Road is the next on your left turn into Beresford Road with the Rose Garden on your left BEECHWOOD is the first building after the Rose Garden.
