Aber Cottage Guest House offers 3 star quality bed and breakfast accommodation in the picturesque market town of Dolgellau situated in the heart of Wales beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Aber Cottage B&B is a traditional stone cottage and listed building with modern en-suite facilities to all rooms with TV free wi-fi and complimentary tea and coffee. Car parking one per room is in our own private car park with secure access. Please note we do not guarantee having space for vans or other large vehicles and these may be refused. We are ideally situated in the town and within easy walking distance to excellent restaurants inns and local shops. The guest house is superbly situated near to the mountain of Cadair Idris the Mawddach trail and many other walks. Coed-y-Brenin with its popular forest trails and one of the leading mountain bike centers in Europe is also nearby. Dolgellau is surrounded by spectacular landscape and if you fancy a visit to the coast the beautiful sandy beaches of Fairbourne and Barmouth are only a few miles away. Walkers climbers mountain bikers and other adventure pursuit guests are all very welcome and we have secure storage for your equipment. Aber Cottage is over 250 years old and due to the nature of the building it may not be suitable for children under 8 years or for those with limited mobility. Please inform us on booking of any food allergies or intolerances. ABER COTTAGE GUEST HOUSE TERMS & CONDITIONS We look forward to welcoming you to Aber Cottage Guest House. When you make a booking you are entering into a legal contract with us. Please read the terms and conditions of booking below. Bookings and Deposits: A deposit of approximately 20% of the total cost is required to secure a booking. Deposits will be retained if guests do not take up occupancy (see note below regarding cancellations). We will confirm the booking when we receive your debit/credit card details and have processed the deposit payment. The remaining balance needs to be paid in full before your departure by one of the following methods: Major Debit or Credit Card or Cash. Please note that your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. We would recommend that you take out cancellation insurance to cover this cost. Cancellation by You: A reservation forms a legal contract for the total cost of the booking. In the event of cancellation by you for any reason less than 72 hours before 16:00hrs on the booked arrival date the total cost of the stay will become payable. Please note that non arrival constitutes a cancellation. Arrival & Departure Times: Arrival time is normally after 4pm and before 10pm unless we have agreed other prior arrangements. Guests are requested to vacate rooms by 10am on the day of departure. Occupancy beyond that time will be charged at the full daily rate. Smoking: In accordance with current legislation SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED in any part of Aber Cottage. This includes the use of vaporizers. SMOKING OUT OF WINDOWS IS EQUALLY PROHIBITED. THE POLICE MAY BE CALLED IF THE LAW IS BROKEN. An excess cleaning charge of £20 will be applied if guests smoke within the premises. In addition if a room cannot be let due to smoking the full cost of those lost nights will also be charged. The only area that smoking is permitted is the rear car park decking area. Parking We provide parking for one car per room. We do not guarantee parking for vans or other large vehicles and these may be refused. Directions to Aber Cottage Guest House Dolgellau

Aber Cottage is located on the east side of Smithfield Street immediately south of the bridge over the river in the town centre. The car park is located down a small side road on the north side of the cottage. Entry to the car park is through the blue double gates. Note there is a one-way system in Dolgellau and Smithfield Street is one way going south. If approaching from Bala Road as you cross the river bridge there is a public car park on the right and the turning for Aber Cottage is almost immediately on the left as you enter the one way system. Note that the turning cannot be seen until you reach it. The nearest railway stations are Barmouth (10miles) and Machynlleth (16 miles). Dolgellau is served by buses from both these towns.
