Great Langdale Bunkhouse offers great value accommodation for groups families and individuals. It is set in a secluded location with immediate access to mountain biking road cycling walking fell running and climbing. The whole place is setup to explore the amazing mountains and ideal for those who love the outdoors. The bunkhouse has 21 beds divided into 3 twin rooms 1 room of 7 and 1 room of 8 (all bunk beds). The bunkhouse has gas central heating throughout with separate male and female shower and toilet facilities. The bunkhouse also has the essential kit drying room and secure bike storage. Please note there are no cooking or dining facilities in the bunkhouse. The Sticklebarn Tavern and New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel are located next door and serve good breakfasts (hotel only during winter) lunch and dinners. We would recommend booking breakfast with the hotel if this is your preferred option. The bunkhouse is situated 15 minutes drive from Ambleside there is sufficient parking for 8 cars with plenty of other options for additional parking.

Directions to Great Langdale Bunkhouse Ambleside

Take the Great Langdale road from Skelwith Bridge for 4.2 miles until you reach the Sticklebarn Pub and New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. Turn right into the lane. At the top turn left behind the Sticklebarn. The bunkhouse is just past New Stickle Cottage on the right.
