Caythorpe House in Swanage was originally built as an elegant comfortable Edwardian Villa around 1904. Now over a 100 years old it has been sympathetically converted to guest accommodation while still retaining its immense charm and appeal from this more genteel age. Our on site facilities are designed to make sure your stay is as relaxing as possible. br / br / br / br / Our Guest Bedrooms br / br / We have seven guest rooms consisting of single twins doubles and family rooms. All have private wc and hand basins. Four have en-suite shower facilities. Two guest rooms are situated on the ground floor and five are on the first floor accessed by our wide and gently rising staircase. A spacious shower room is located on the first floor to cater for those rooms without en-suite facilities. br / br / br / br / Dining Room br / br / Our sunny south facing dining room is where you will enjoy breakfast in light airy and spacious surroundings. br / br / The room is laid out with one table for each guest room. For group bookings these tables can easily be joined for more sociable dining. br / br / br / br / Guest Lounge br / br / The Guest Lounge originally the drawing room of the original house has a double aspect making it bright and inviting. You are encouraged to use the Guest Lounge during your stay. br / br / br / br / Car Park br / br / Our small car park is situated at the rear of Caythorpe House. During busy periods we ask you to use all available slots which may mean you become blocked in by another guest. We do however discuss car requirements at breakfast time to ensure no one is inconvenienced.

Directions to Caythorpe House Swanage

Corfe Castle - Road: Take the A351 from Corfe through Harman s Cross signposted Swanage. Continue on this road you will see a sign on the left Welcome to Swanage. You will pass the new SwanageSchool on the left. Approach junction there is a sign for Town Centre Beach Car Park follow this. You are now in Victoria Avenue continue the road narrows over a small bridge crossing the railway line. Continue to the traffic lights and turn right. Caythorpe House is on this corner an =d parking is behind the house. br/ br/ Poole - Road: Leave the Chain Ferry (Toll) at Shell Bay. Continue on the B3351 and pass through Studland Village. Beyond the village is a left hand fork Swanage . Continue downhill to Ulwell signpost Welcome to Swanage . Continue through one way right hand bend. Pass All Saints Church continue to Shore Road with sea on your left. Look for of Victoria Avenue opposite the banjo pier. Turn right here. Continue 100yards. Caythorpe House is opposite the traffic lights br/ br/ Bournemouth - Bus: The number 50 (Wilts and Dorset) Purbeck Breezer bus travels between Bournemouth and Swanage via Sandbanks Chain Ferry. br/ br/ Poole - Bus: The number 40 (Wilts and Dorset) Bus Purbeck Breezer runs between Swanage and Poole via Wareham. br/ br/ London - Coach: National Express run a service between London and Swanage every day of the week.
