Our selection of two one-bedroom cottages and six two-bedroom cottages offer flexible arrival and departure dates throughout the year even in high season allowing our guests to holiday at the times they want. Let on a minimum of 2 nights all beds are made up for arrival with luxury hand and bath towels provided. We also include your electricity and heating within the rate. Directions to New Lanark Self Catering Waterhouses LANARK

By car: New Lanark by Lanark is around an hour s drive from Glasgow (25 miles/40 kms) or Edinburgh (35 miles/56 Kms) and is well sign-posted from all major routes. We feature on the brown tourist information signs on both the M74 and M8 Motorways as New Lanark World Heritage Site. Follow these signs until you reach the town of Lanark. Continue to follow the brown tourist information signs as you go through Lanark. These signs will bring you to Braxfield Road. Follow this road until you arrive at the roundabout. Take the first exit off the roundabaout. You will then see in front of you a large white sign Welcome to New Lanark World Heritage Site . Opposite this sign you will see a junction on the right hand side with a signpost stating Restricted Access . Please take the road on the right hand side next to the restriced access signpost. This road will take you into New Lanark Village. When you reach the village pass by the red telephone box on the right hand side and watch out for the village gates also on the right hand side. Proceed through the gates keeping right and follow the drive down to New Lanark Mill Hotel which is facing you. Code for Sat. Nav. If you are travelling from Edinburgh you will need to change at Motherwell. To plan your journey visit Train Line or National Rail. By Bus: The cheapest way to travel to New Lanark Mill Hotel is by bus. Buses run every hour from Glasgow or Edinburgh from as little as £5.50 per person. For Edinburgh you may need to change at Biggar. The bus will take you striaght to Lanark bus station where you can take a connecting bus to New Lanark for £1.45 per person. This connecting bus is operated by Stuarts of Carluke. Alternatively you can walk from the bus station which will take you approximately 15 - 20 minutes. On foot: New Lanark lies on a particularly attractive section of the Clyde Walkway close to the Falls of Clyde.
