Stuart has a love of cycling and walking and would gladly arrange mountain bike and walking boot hire along with route maps for you. In the summer months sunlight fills the room whilst in the winter a roaring fire to snuggle by adds to the atmosphere. br / br / br / br / LAKEVIEW is an imposing Edwardian house situated in the Lakeland village of Portinscale. Enjoying an elevated south facing position it offers views of lakes and fells. Three comfortably furnished bedrooms offer en-suite facilities. Portinscale is approximately one mile west of the market town of Keswick only a 15 minute easy walk into Keswick or 5 minute drive. Alternatively a half mile walk will take you to the nearest jetty where regular launches will take you around Lake Derwentwater. br / br / There is a sailing club a great local pub (the Farmers Arms) and endless opportunities for walks and cycle rides but the loveliest thing about Portinscale is its peace and quiet.

Penrith (M6) - Road: LAKEVIEW is situated in the village of Portinscale which is approximately one mile west of the market town of Keswick only a 15 minute easy walk into Keswick or 5 minute drive. From the M6 motorway: Take Junction 40 (Penrith) and head on the A66 towards Keswick and West Cumbria. Go past the first turning for Keswick and straight over the roundabout. Take the second turning on your left signed for Portinscale. LAKEVIEW is 200 yards on the left after the Farmers Arms.
