ALWAYS CALL/EMAIL DIRECT FOR BEST PRICES AND AVAILABILITY br / br / br / br / The grade 2 Victorian town house built in 1860 was home to one of Whitby s highest regarded benefactors Mr R E Pannett why not visit the park and museum which bears his name and view the fine artwork that he bequeathed to the town br / br / br / br / There is a wonderful sense of history with the original features blended together with modern facilities providing a relaxing and calming feel. br / br / br / br / The house boasts many original features such as the stunning tiled Victorian bathroom which takes centre-stage which we believe is the last surviving one in Whitby original marble fireplaces in every room ornate plaster coving and sweeping staircase. br / br / br / br / Each Double/King guest room is a generous size with en-suite facilities tastefully decorated using original features and marrying them with modern day comforts. br / br / br / br / During World War 2 Pannett House was used as billets for soldiers on their way to the front there is a tangible reminder in the family accommodation lounge in the form of a bullet hole in the plate glass window to the rear which has been in filled with lead it is said a soldiers gun fired as he was cleaning it and shot straight though the glass without shattering it!!!! br / br / br / br / Whitby is undoubtedly a beautiful place to live and visit. Teesside - Road: Traveling from Teesside - Take A171 Whitby to Guisborough road straight on at roundabout with A169 (Pickering) then take first left after Park and Ride on to B1460. Follow road through the outskirts of town 30 mph limit until you come to a roundabout take first left past garage then right onto Crescent Avenue road turns left then take first right onto Normanby Terrace / John Street. Pannett House is located on the left the second property. br/ br/ Pickering - Road: Travelling from Pickering. Take A169 through Sleights until roundabout with A171 turn right towards Whitby then turn left after Park and Ride and follow above directions to Pannett House. br/ br/ Scarborough - Road: Travelling from Scarborough. Take A171 to Whitby travel across New Bridge and go straight on at traffic lights. At bottom of hill take second left at roundabout drive up hill and take second left at next roundabout past garage then first right onto Crescent Avenue. Road turns left then first right onto Normanby Terrace / John Street. Pannett House is located on the left the second property. br/ br/ Saltburn/Loftus - Road: Travelling from Saltburn/Loftus. Take A174 through Sandsend onto Whitby 40 and 30 mph speed limits past parade of shops on your left straight on at roundabout then first left onto Crescent Avenue. Follow the above to Pannett House. br/ br/ Whitby Train Station - Train: Head northwest towards Victoria Square turn left into Victoria square turn right onto Brunswick St Turn left onto Flowergate Turn right onto Skinner St continue onto Belle Vue Terrace turn left onto Normanby Terrace you will find Pannett House at the top of the road on the right
