Welcome to The Westmorland Inn br / br / br / br / We are a traditional Lakeland Inn and we are ideally situated in between Windermere and Bowness village with only a few minutes walk to either and less than 5 minutes walk to Lake Windermere. br / br / br / br / We are pleased to offer 8 ensuite bedrooms all individually designed with two of these large enough to accommodate a family of three. Some of our rooms offer a view of Lake Windermere and across to the fells and mountains. We only use luxury toiletries in all our rooms and tea and coffee making facilities with complimentary Kendal Mint Cake for you to enjoy. For those special occasions through prior arrangement we are happy to provide a chilled bottle of prosecco with luxury chocolates or a bottle of champagne in your room for your arrival. We also have a local leisure club with Swimming pool Sauna Steam room and gym for you to use only 5 minutes walk and throughout the hotel and bar we offer free wifi for our customers to use. br / br / br / br / In our cosy comfortable bar we have 5 real ales premium lagers wines spirits and a good selection of cocktails we have a good local choice of drinks including some real ales from Jennings brewery a selection of spirits from the Lakes Distillery including Whisky Gin and Vodka and a local Kendal mint cake liqueur. br / br / Coming soon by Winter 2016 we will have our new fully refurbished restaurant and we will be serving a fantastic new steak menu with traditional pub favourites in the evening with a carvery at lunchtimes and all day on a Sunday. Windermere Train Station - Train: Turn left out of Windermere Train station onto Victoria Street Continue onto Crescent Road Follow the road onto New Road Carry on to Lake Road We are on the right hand side next to the church 15 minute walk br/ br/ A591 - Road: Turn off A591 onto High Street leading onto Victoria Street Continue onto Crescent road A5074 Then onto New Road Then onto Lake Road Then arrive at The Westmorland Inn on your right hand side next to the church Will take 4 mins drive by car br/ br/ M6 Junction 36 - Road: Leave M6 at junction 36 onto the A590 heading towards Windermere Continue on the A590 for 3.4 miles and then continue straight onto the A591 Stay on the A591 for 11.8 miles Turn left onto High Street straight onto Victoria Street Follow road around onto Crescent Road A5074 Then continue onto New Road which leads onto Lake Road You will find The Westmorland Inn on the right next to the church Will take 20 mins by car
