Petros Court accommodation is situated in the world famous historic centre of Canterbury. This superb site offers high quality accommodation and was awarded a 5 star status by Visit England (Quality in Tourism) when it opened just a few years ago. The contemporary building comprises of spacious bedrooms within a secure environment with Canterbury Cathedral only a short 10 minute walk away. Canterbury is a beautiful cathedral city nestled in Kent which is fondly known as the Garden of England . The ancient city wall originally built by the Romans encircles the medieval town centre which boasts cobbled streets and timber-framed houses with an abundance of shops and restaurants to suit everyone s needs. Canterbury Cathedral founded 597 A.D. is the headquarters of the Church of England and Anglican Communion and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Canterbury features many other great tourist attractions like the Canterbury Tales Historic River Tours and St Augustine s Abbey. Please see below for further things to do whilst staying here. At Petros Court part of Canterbury Christ Church University all rooms feature en-suite facilities and access to communal kitchen and dining areas where guests will find a seating area and TV with Freeview channels. All bedrooms include free WiFi complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can dine in the adjacent Atrium café within Augustine House directly opposite Petros Court which is open 9am 5pm every day. Petros Court also has a 24-hour security/front desk at the entrance gates to the property which is where guests can collect their keys and guest handbook detailing useful information on Canterbury. Canterbury has excellent transport links. Canterbury East train station is located less than 5 minutes walk from Petros Court and Canterbury West train station is a 15 minute walk away which has a high speed service enabling you to get into the heart of London in just under 1 hour. Dover is half an hour away to the South East and the nearest coastal town is Whitstable six miles to the North. The Eurostar terminals at Ashford and Ebbsfleet are close by reaching Paris Brussels or Lille within 2 hours. We advise parking at Canterbury East train station for guests which is a short 4 minute walk from Petros Court. All day rates are available for £1.50 - £3.90 if pre booked in advance online. Please note you can only book in advance of 2 months before your arrival date. You can also purchase tickets on the day of arrival at the train station (prices correct at time of writing February 2017). If long term parking is required throughout your stay we have some spaces available at the University from £10.00 per car per day subject to availability.
