Set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, on the banks of the River wharfe, this historic estate is the Yorkshire home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and is a magnet for visitors drawn to its breath-taking landscape and excellent facilities. Explore the ruins of the Priory and discover a landscape full of history and legend; Wander along the woodland and riverside paths or cross the exposed heights of heather moorland; Enjoy local produce in the excellent restaurants, tea rooms and cafes; Indulge in a little retail therapy in the gift and food shops; Or simply relax and enjoy a picnic whilst the children play. Admission is £6.00 per vehicle, £3.00 for motorcycles or 50 pence per person for groups of 12 or more in one vehicle (there is no charge for the driver or the vehicle). Admission tickets are valid for all three Estate car parks on the day of issue. Free admission - Monday to Friday from 3rd November to mid March 2010 excluding the Christmas holidays (Dec 22 - Jan 2 2009) Season tickets (£60) are available from Estate gift shops, giving unlimited access to Bolton Abbey SkiptonEstate during the hours of opening for 12 months from date of purchase.
