CEDAR HOUSE BED AND BREAKFAST ON THE EDGE OF EXMOOR AND THE COAST

Cedar House Minehead is a fine Edwardian house set within an acre and a half of mature gardens with stunning views of Exmoor, the coast, and the West Somerset Railway. It is an ideal location from which guests can walk the South West Coast Path, Exmoor, the Quantocks and Brendon Hills. Fishing and golf are other local activities. A visit to nearby Dunster Castle and village is a must. Cedar House Minehead offers two king size bedrooms, a twin/super king size and a single room. All spacious, double glazed rooms are en-suite and have a TV, DAB clock-radio, beveridge tray, luxury toiletries from Gilchrist and Soames, hairdryer and bathrobe. We are also able to offer free Wi-Fi access. Guests can enjoy an AGA cooked full Somerset breakfast using local ingredients before setting off to explore the area. Cedar House Minehead follows a no smoking policy and does not allow children or pets.

Breakfast: A full Somerset breakfast awaits guests in the morning. All produce is locally reared and sourced, and there is a selection of fruit compote or fruit (from the garden) in the breakfast servery. Mel also makes her own plum, raspberry and blackberry jams with fruit from the garden. We are now happy to offer a menu with vegetarian options, omelettes, boiled eggs and soldiers and croissants.

Rooms: Cedar House has three large bedrooms to offer. Bedroom 1 (the Green Room) decorated in 2013, is our twin/super king size room with en-suite shower room. This room is dual aspect with views over the ancient orchard at the rear of the house and down to the coast. Bedroom 2 (the Blue Room) was completely redecotated in 2012. This is a spacious king size bedroom with en-suite shower room. This room also boasts dual aspect windows with far reaching views of Exmoor, the coast and the West Somerset Steam Railway. Bedroom 3 (the Gold Room) was also redecorated in 2012. This is another king size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The picture window has panoramic views of Exmoor, the coast and West Somerset Steam Railway. Bedroom 4, our single room has also been decorated recently. This room has a large en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. There are 3 windows in the bedroom looking towards the ancient apple orchard, as does the bathroom window. All bedrooms have flat screen TVs, DAB clock/radio, easy seating of either a sofa or chairs, tea/coffee making facilities, chocolates, hairdryer, a bathrobe and luxury toiletries from Gilchrist and Soames.

Parking: Cedar House provides free, off-street parking in our own car park.

Wifi: We can now offer guests Free WIFI access in all the bedrooms.

Pets: Sorry, we have a no pets policy.

Families: Sorry, but we do not allow children in the Bed and Breakfast.

Disabled Facilities: Unfortunately, all our bedrooms are on the first floor and we do not have lift access.
