Originally built as three miner’s cottages, we are ideally situated just outside Greenhead Village on the Hadrian’s Wall Trail, the Pennine Way, National Cycle Route 72 and just 45 minutes drive from Newcastle or 20 minutes from Carlisle. We offer comfortable accommodation and delicious breakfasts using organic, Fairtrade and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms (with showers). There is a guest lounge with television (satellite channels available), games and a well stocked book case. For families we can offer cots, changing facilities and a variety of toys. For walkers and cyclists we have washing and drying facilities, secure bike storage and an outside wash area. We are happy to accept well behaved dogs (but please contact us in advance). We have a wide range of information and a host of ideas for local attractions and days out. There are itineraries to suit everybody, from families with young children to those wanting challenging hikes or rides across the picturesque and historic countryside which surrounds this, the true heart of Hadrian’s Wall Country. There are many circular walks within easy access of here. We are willing to offer you a lift to and from both the various pubs and restaurants offering a wide range of evening meals and the many interesting local walks and cycle rides. You will find that our location by the Northumbrian and Cumbrian borders suits all those who are either exploring the wonders of this amazing countryside, visiting family or friends locally or passing through on the way to Scotland.
