It is surrounded by some magnificent scenery, with beautiful woodland and rolling fields surrounding the house. The House is located only two minutes drive from the Staffordshire County Showground. Keepers Lodge is conveniently located just off the A518, some 3 miles from Stafford town centre, 7 miles from Uttoxeter, 5 miles from Stone and 8 miles from Rugeley. Importantly access to the M6 motorway is only a 3 mile drive, with both Manchester and Birmingham approximately 40 minutes drive away. Inter city trains are available at Stafford station which is on the West Coast mainline with London Euston only 1 hour and 20 minutes away. East Midlands airport is also less than 1 hours travel. The Estate has been very popular hunting ground through history. In fact it has proved to be a popular place for Royalty to visit in years gone by. The surrounding Estate has 1100 acres of surrounding Hunting and Sporting rights, as well as over 100 acres of Woodland and 50 acres of pasture land. The luxurious rooms at Keepers Lodge B&B all contain high quality Oak furniture throughout. The beds have extremely comfortable memory foam topped beds for a great nights sleep. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms fitted with state of the art multi jet showers which can also be used as a steam room ideal for warming your bones during the winter. All rooms have a large TV fully loaded with all the Sky channels. The Estate provides a wonderful playground for nature lovers, with some amazing wildlife and plant life. There are some extremely exciting features within the Estate. There is a beautiful Ravine, which through the wetter winter months turns into a glorious waterfall. There are the Tinkerborough Caves, which used to be part of the Tinkerborough Cottages. Located by David's Rock these caves have panoramic views and look back towards the Idyllic village of Salt. The cottages which were standing until a few hundred years ago used to house a family called the Tinkers. There is also a great cave to explore for children and adults around the corner from the Tinkerborough site. The grotto like cave provides a lovely place to sit and have a drink, enjoying the peace and quiet and beautiful surrounding countryside. Keepers Lodge is surrounded by some fabulous walks. There are a plethora of footpaths available and a huge stretch of Bridle way available for horse lovers. The river and Canal are both extremely close for great walks. The Estate enjoys the Sporting and Fishing rights along a huge stretch of the River. For very keen walkers the beautiful Peak District is only a 40 minute drive away. Cannock Chase is only a 10 minute drive away also providing a wonderful playground for hikers, horse riders and bike lovers. There are an abundance of lovely pubs to be enjoyed locally. The closest pub is in the village of Salt which borders the Estate and is called The Hollybush Inn. This pub is the second oldest registered pub in the UK, has won many awards for it's food and ale and is also listed in the Good Food Guide. There are also two good pubs in Weston, The Saracens Head and The Woolpack Inn. Weston Hall is also located only one minutes drive from the house and offers a fabulous bar and restaurant. For the Golf lover Keepers Lodge is only a short drive from lots of fantastic courses including the highly renound Brocton, Ingestre and Uttoxeter courses. For horse lovers the very popular Ingestre stables are only 5 minutes drive away too. There are an array of attractions and potential activities surrounding Keepers Lodge. Trentham Monkey Park and Floral Garden Estate is only a 15 minute drive away. Similarly Paintballing at Penkridge is only a 15 minute drive. The Cinema, Bowling Alley, Stafford Castle, Riley's Snooker and Pool hall and Stafford's bars and nightclubs are all within a 10 minute drive from the house. The County Showground is only a couple of minutes drive too. Children and adrenaline seekers will be pleased to know that Alton Towers is only a 45 minute drive. For Sportsmen there are an array of gym's and sports centres to choose from and Swimmers can enjoy the pool at Stafford sports centre or for children who love slides, Waterworld is only a 30 minute drive away in Hanley.
