Welcoming and relaxed accommodation on the River Tawe, convenient for Brecon Beacons, Gower, and Waterfall Country etc.

Llundain Fach Little London Abercrave has been a rest-place for travellers since the Welsh drovers used to stay here on their way to the London markets. The facilities have been upgraded since then, and peace and relaxation are guaranteed. We are a couple of old baby-boomers who really enjoy welcoming visitors to our lovely home and the beauty and interest of the southern Brecon Beacons National Park and surrounding area incluiding the Gower Peninsula's amazing beaches, the Ystrafellte Waterfalls area, and so on. We are also very convenient for the Off-Road Bike courses and can (usually) offer undercover parking for motor bikes and bicycles. The location is popular for walks: short, long, easy, or challenging; for exploring the industrial archaeology of mines, foundries, quarries, and remains of the Swansea canal; river and coastal fishing. The bird life you can see just from your bedroom window is something special (I've seen buzzards riding the thermals off our roof, kingfishers zooming up the drive, owls nesting in the woods behind us and a grey heron resting in our flowerbed, and red kites are regular visitors). Of course the landscape and wildlife make it a delight for photographers as well. Other local activities include caving, horse riding, exploring the river valleys, visiting the gardens and castles in the area, drives down to The Gower's magnificent beaches, and towns in South- and mid-Wales including Swansea, Pontardawe, Brecon, Carmarthen and so on. And to relax at the end of the day, there's a cosy study and large garden for guests' use.

Breakfast: Breakfast is included in the price, and can range from a full cooked breakfast including award-winning sausages and bacon from local butchers, to vegetarian and vegan options, or discuss your preferences, maybe something smaller, or different: Eggs Florentine, or smoked salmon hash maybe. Home-made breads and home-made jams too.

Rooms: Each room has tea/coffee facilities, and hair-dryer, ironing board etc are available. There is a study with TV and a collection of DVDs for all ages, plus books and board games. The ensuite bedroom also has comfy chairs and a low table for reading etc, and like the double room has a window seat with views of the garden and river. There is also a small 2-bed bunk room available when booked with one of the other rooms; this is suitable for children and adults. if only one person is booked into the bunk room they would not be sharing it with anyone else.

Parking: Free on-site parking.

Wifi: Free wi-fi available in bedrooms.

Families: Families are welcome, and in addition to the range of DVD catering for all ages, guests are welcome to enjoy the lawn and woods at their leisure, even if the weather is good, you can go for a swim on the river(please note that access to the river is open so small children need to be with their parents at all times). For evening meals if you prefer to get take-aways please make use of our farmhouse kitchen table. Baby food (reasonable amounts) can be stored in our fridge.
