Our aim is to produce a top quality product and value for money by providing a well balanced healthy nutritional meal. In 2009 ‘Miller’s Famous Fish & Chips’ was awarded 5 Stars for excellent standards. In 2012 a new ‘Fish Friers Quality Award’ Scheme was put in place to enhance the profile of the industry and promote customer loyalty to a quality product. The re-branded scheme introduces the idea of grading shops that meet the required standards. The inspection is carried out by an independent assessor. Over 240 checks are made on hygiene, food preparation practises and customer services. Miller’s is helping to promote the ‘2 a week’ campaign to eat fish twice a week. We endeavour to buy fish that is individually line caught so the fish is neither bruised nor damaged. This method has minimal environmental impact and as all fish are caught live, it ensures the fish are in top condition. We only buy fish from the Faroe Isle and Iceland - all our fish is from deep cold water sustainable fishing grounds and responsible fisheries. All our products are sourced for their quality and freshness. Our batter is made to our own family recipe. We have a cosy 16-seat café.
