Morvich is an informal family run B&B that offers the highest standards of personal service and hospitality. Our aim is to make your stay

Fort William 4 star B&B, quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Scottish Highlands. Overlooking Loch Linnhe, Lochaber on Scotland's beautiful West Coast. Open January to December. Morvich Fort William enjoys beautiful mountain scenery, loch views and offers a warm welcome. We are a level fifteen minute walk from Fort William's shops and restaurants. Morvich Fort William is a substantial bungalow overlooking Loch Linnhe with loch views out to the Ardgour Hills. Sail boats pass on their way to the Caledonian Canal and guests enjoy watching dinghies compete in races opposite the garden. Morvich Fort William offers bright comfortable rooms, great beds and a relaxed breakfast. Although we are an adults only guest house, young adults (14 and over) are very welcome. For breakfast we offer a range of cereals, fruits, juices, yoghurt, full cooked breakfast, or one of our lighter options. We use quality bacon and sausages; our guests tell us that they really enjoy our food. Vegetarian options too. Guests also tell us they get a great night's sleep on our super cosy beds. Our two bedrooms with king sized beds have large picture windows overlooking Loch Linnhe, our other rooms have a little more space, larger bathrooms and ‘Velux’ windows facing the loch. It only takes us ten minutes to walk along the loch from the main street; if you take in the views it will take a little longer. Facilities include free WiFi, off-street parking, and secure cycle storage. We prepare packed lunches (for a charge) and chilled packed breakfasts for early risers. We also provide a laundry service at a charge for guests on extended stays (5kg mixed load washed, dried and folded), great to know when you are planning your holiday luggage. If you are looking for a great Highland experience Fort William & Lochaber offers a very wide range of scenery and activities for your stay with us. Fort William is also well placed for day trips to other destinations in the Highlands. Call and ask about our special '3 day & over' rates or visit our website for fast on-line booking. We look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Heather & John Just some of the things to do whilst staying at Morvich Fort William; Enjoy an afternoon on one of our white sandy beaches, if you have enjoyed the movie ‘Local Hero’ you will know just how good our beaches can be. Take a trip on the Jacobite steam train to Mallaig and back. Travel through superb scenery, and cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Harry Potter fans will know all about this. Walk up Ben Nevis or one of many other mountains. We have plenty of gentle walks too; after all not everyone wants to bag a Munro before breakfast. Enjoy a tour around one of three local distilleries. We especially recommend Oban Distillery in among the shops in the centre of Oban. Board Souter’s Lass at the Town Pier next to Crannog Restaurant for a wonderful cruise down Loch Linnhe and take in the breath-taking scenery of Lochaber. Evening service during the summer. Take a ride on the UK’s only mountain gondola from Nevis Range up onto Aonach Mor for extended views across Lochaber’s wonderful mountain scenery. Take a drive south through beautiful scenery to fabulous Glencoe. Visit Glenfinnan and its monument; where Bonnie Prince Charlie arrived and departed back in 1745. The Glenfinnan Viaduct runs behind here and provides excellent opportunities to capture photos of the Jacobite steam train as it crosses the viaduct. Go looking for Nessie at nearby Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Take a day trip to Kyle of Lochalsh and The Isle of Skye. Take in Eileen Donan Castle. Make a short detour at Kyle to pretty Plockton where Hamish Macbeth was filmed. Enjoy an evening meal at one of our top quality fish restaurants, and then enjoy a great night of Scottish folk music at the local Ceilidh House.
