Welcome to SheenView B&B Classic Cars and Motorcycles are very welcome and to this end we now have a fully tarmac drive, improving access and parking from our previous stone chipped driveway. We are extremely pleased to announce that under the new rating system of Failte Ireland we have been awarded 3 rating following our recent inspection, from which we received very positive feedback in all aspects of our service. So if you choose to come and stay with us you can do so in with the confidence that you will be coming to a high standard B&B where your comfort and care and relaxation is our priority. SheenView B&B is situated just a short drive from Kenmare town on the R571 Castletownbere Road. Kenmare itself is a picturesque, vibrant little town and is renowned as being the Gourmet town of the South West and offers a wide variety of bars and restaurants. We also recommend The Sailors Bar, which is just 1 mile down the road from us. Barthy and Carmel offer a lovely selection of freshly cooked dishes, using locally sourced produce at extremely reasonable prices and when the weather is good it is the most fabulous place to sit outside with great food and watch the sunset on the backdrop of some of the most beautifully scenery around.

Breakfast: Breakfast is served in our conservatory overlooking the garden between the hours of 08.00 – 09.30 Monday to Friday and 08.00 – 10.00 Saturday and Sunday, these times are flexible by arrangement. Anyone who wishes may exchange breakfast for a packed lunch if they have an early start or are going off walking or cycling for the day along one of the many beautiful trails. Breakfast Menu It would be much appreciated if you would write your room number and breakfast request on the pad provided and leave by the visitor’s book down stairs thank you Cereal Or Grapefruit Segments & Orange or Grapefruit juice Full Irish Breakfast (Bacon, sausage, fried or scrambled egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, white & black pudding) or Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon or Creamy Baileys Porridge or Beans and egg on toast or Continental Style Breakfast (Yogurt, ham & cheese slices, croissant, bread, toast and preserves) or Pancakes (with maple syrup or honey) **************** Served With Toast/Soda Bread with preserves Tea or Coffee

Rooms: Our B&B offers a variety of rooms family, double, twin and single and are of a very high standard with most rooms being en-suite complete with power showers. The bedrooms are equipped with Tea & Coffee facilities, hairdryers, colour TV (some with DVD players and a library of DVD’s are available) and Ironing facilities are available on request. We pride ourselves on our first floor guest lounge which proves extremely popular with guests who love to be able to relax after a busy day. Upon arrival you will receive a warm welcome from your hosts Peter & Amanda and be offered refreshments to help relieve those travelling blues. These may be taken in the guest lounge complete with colour TV and DVD player, a variety of books and reading material and board games. The lounge also boasts panoramic views over Kenmare Bay and the MacGillicuddy Reeks mountain range and provides a very relaxing place to sit.

Families: Kenmare is situated where the Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara cross and this area boasts some of the very best sight seeing and tourist attractions in the South of Ireland, namely the Gap of Dunloe, Bonane Heritage Park, Kenmare Bay, Coornagillagh Beach & of course Kenmare town itself and so provides a delightful area to visit and is an ideal base for touring. The area is a fantastic place for walkers and mountain climbers and supervised assents up Carrauntuohill, Irelands highest mountain at over 3,400ft can be arranged with Kenmare Walking Club so long as you let us know in plenty of time prior to coming to stay.
