St Peters Brewery
St. Peter’s Brewery is based in a moated medieval Hall at St. Peter South Elmham, just off the A143 between Harleston and Bungay. The brewery was built in 1996 and is housed in an attractive range of traditional former agricultural buildings adjacent to St. Peter’s Hall. Siting the brewery at St. Peter’s was ideal because of the excellent water quality from our deep bore-hole. Locally malted barley is used, together with quality hops to produce premium bottled ales. St. Peter’s distinctive oval-shaped bottles were specially designed and are a copy of one from Gibbstown, near Philadelphia which dates from c. 1770. St. Peter’s brew 'traditional' beers - bitters, mild etc. - as well as some more unusual beers such as Honey Porter and Fruit Beer. The award winning range of bottled beers are brewery conditioned and then cold filtered to give a smooth rounded finish when consumed.
