The Gincase Tearoom Craftbarn and Farm Park
THE TEAROOM A quality tearoom situated in a quiet and beautiful location, only one mile from the picturesque Solway coast near Silloth, The Gincase is where you will find a Cumbrian tearoom, arts & crafts barn, an art gallery and a farm park. The tearoom provides delicious home baking using traditional recipes and local produce. Morning Coffees, Hot and Cold Lunches and Afternoon Teas can all be enjoyed here. On warmer days, you can sit in our orchard garden and enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful, unspoilt area. The Craft Barn and Gift Gallery is a visitor’s delight. Every item is made by hand, most in Cumbria and is of the highest quality. The Arts & Crafts on display include paintings, ceramics, woodwork, jewellery, textiles, metalwork, glasswork, pottery, needlework, willow work, greeting cards and much more. We have for 2010 redesigned the upstairs Gift gallery to give our visitors a much broader range of gifts to browse through. Out with the old and in with the new colourful pink, blue and green areas with lots of gifts we have carefully selected for your enjoyment, something for every household and every pocket. CHILDRENS CORNER There are also a varied selection of toys and gifts for our many younger visitors to help them remember their day at The Gincase Farm Park. THE FARM PARK In the Farm Park you will find our rare and unusual farm animals and poultry, plus some rather more familiar ones. Take a walk around the 16 paddocks and meet the animals kept on farms in times past. Time your visit well and you can feed the goats or lambs. We also have an outside pen with rabbits and guinea pigs for the children to cuddle, a playground, a Playbarn with toys and a sandpit for their enjoyment. A new addition is the large walk through bird flight, with many exotic birds flying around. A lovely day out for all tha family
