The famous triple award-winning live music spot is loved for its great ambience & eclectic high-quality live music, lots more than jazz!

Edinburgh's famous, triple award-winning Jazz Bar is loved by all for its warm ambience, superb bar service and most of all its non-stop daily schedule of excellent, high-quality live music. Although voted 'UK's Top Jazz Venue' in the 2010 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, the hugely popular night spot features a lot more than just 'jazz'. There's Acoustic, Jazz, Funk/Soul, Indie and all kinds of good stuff going on, with back-to-back gigs running seven days a week, every week, all year round. 'Teatime Acoustic' is 6-8.30pm, The Jazz Slot (mostly) is 9-12, then Late n'Live late-night funk from 12-3am, every night. There's also stuff happening on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The clientele is a mix of all ages and types, non-trendy, and generally Good Company.

Families: City Licensing Laws dictate that we are not allowed to admit under 14s at any time, but accompanied 14-17s can come in up to 9pm (eg for our great Saturday afternoon (3-6pm) Jazz Trio spot - and it's free entry). Otherwise we have to restrict admittance to over 18s only. Our Door Security personnel are obliged to check ID.

Disabled Facilities: This venue is a basement of an older building, and we regret that we are unable to provide disabled access, nor is there a disabled toilet facility.
