Recently refurbished to an exceptional standard, The Lambert Arms Watlington is an original coaching inn situated just 15 minutes from Oxford at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty popular for walking.
Wonderfully relaxed and welcoming, you’ll find open fires, comfortable leather sofas, real ales and outstanding food in a relaxed environment.
There are 44 stylish and spacious bedrooms, an on-site fitness suite and treatment rooms, plus conference and event facilities for up to 140 guests.
The Lambert Arms Watlington is conveniently located just 500 yards from J6 of the M40, making it a popular meeting point between London and Birmingham.

In the last two years we have been awarded an AA Rosette and AA Breakfast Award. We have also been listed in this year’s Michelin Restaurant & Eating Out Guides.
Breakfast: Continental breakfast including meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit juices, toast, tea and coffee.
Rooms: We have a choice of 9 traditional yet stylish bedrooms in the original building with a further 35 spacious rooms in the Mews Wing. All rooms are contemporary in decor with solid wood furniture and calming muted colour schemes. All offer home from home comforts such as comfy thick duvets, thick and fluffy towels, luxurious toiletries, plasma TVs with Freeview channels and free Wi-Fi access.
Parking: Large free parking facilities.
Wifi: Complimentary wi-fi in all rooms.
Pets: We at The Lambert Arms are big pet lovers and understand the importance of being able to take your pet on holiday with you, which is why we are a pet friendly establishment and we have recently launched our new ‘Pets Innvited’ program.
We have designated ‘pet friendly’ rooms that include all the same superior accommodations as our other bedrooms. Upon request the following pet amenities are available:
Food & water bowls for their use during their stay
Disposable litter boxes for our feline guests
Registering Your Pet
Pet registration is £10 per room per night.
Pet rooms are inspected upon check out and a minimum cleaning fee of £100 will be charged in the event of any damage or soiling in the room.
We allow a maximum of 2 pets per room and a 75 pound weight limit for well behaved dogs.
Please do not leave your pets unattended in your room.
Housekeeping will not provide service to your guest room while your pet is present.
Pets are welcome in our garden and bar areas. Pets (excluding service animals) are not permitted in the restaurant.
Please keep your pets on a lead at all times while outdoors and in public areas.
Guests who do not register their pets will be charged a minimum £100 fee.
Owner assumes all liability for damage to property caused directly by the pet.
The property will not be responsible for accidents or injuries to, or caused by, the pet or loss of pet.
