Enjoy one of their four tastefully decorated and furnished rooms two first floor and two on the ground floor with level/wide access suitable for disabled and elderly guests. All rooms benefit from either private or en-suite bathroom/shower facilities flat screen digital TV s radio refrigerator hair dryer courtesy tray towels and toiletries. Breakfasts and evening meals are served with organic home grown garden produce homemade jams and preserves and meats sourced from an award winning local butcher. Set within the Brecon Beacons National Park the area is renowned for its scenic beauty and is an ideal base for holidays in Mid Wales South Wales and the border towns of the Marches. Old Radnor Barn is designated a grade 2 listed building by Cadw and dates back nearly 300 years. Retaining many original features It was sympathetically renovated between 1998 and 2002. A geographical gateway Talgarth is an ideal base to explore both the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park . Opportunities exist for most outdoor activities: walking climbing cycling mountain-biking pot-holing horse riding gliding hand-gliding together with the full range of water sports including fishing kayaking canoeing sailing and windsurfing in the reservoirs and rivers of the area. The magical and tranquil lake of Llangorse (the largest natural lake in Wales) lies three miles to the west. The river Wye is only three miles to the east at Glassbury while the river Usk lies six miles to the west at Brecon. Talgarth itself is one of the five Brecon Beacons National Park designated cycle hubs with five routes all of which start within 50 metres of our accommodation. They are: Talgarth Green Talgarth Red 1 Talgarth Red 2 and Talgath Black. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced mountain biker whether you prefer to ride or carry your bike. Talgarth is is the place for you! Talgarth also proudly boasts it s very own nature reserve at Pwll-y-Wrach. On a leisurely stroll through the woods you can absorb its calming influence while listening to the gentle running water of the river Enneg. You will find a variety of birds and wildlife including otters badgers look out for our very own pair of nesting red kites. At your desination you can marvel at the forty foot waterfall. Dip your toes in and cool off shut your eyes and let the world and its troubles pass you by.

Directions to Old Radnor Barn Bed & Breakfast BRECON

From the centre of Talgarth cross over the river bridge with the Tourist Information Centre to your right and the other side of the bridge the Bridgend Pub on your left. Go straight on in to High Street passing the chemist on your left then the butchers on your right. Carry on down High Street for 150m when you have passed all the houses on your right hand side you will come to a low stone wall. At the end of this turn right. The OLD RADNOR BARN can be found on the right after 60m.
