Gwaenynog is a beautiful B&B in a quiet and scenic location about a mile from the River Vyrnwy. The stunning views and wildlife of Lake Vyrnwy are also just 9 miles away. We are at approx 600 feet above sea level so have some amazing views including the imposing presence of Moel Bentyrch. We re fully licensed to provide a selection of wine beer & spirits - even if you re not eating with us. You re assured of a warm welcome at our high quality B&B. There are extremely comfortable beds powerful showers sumptuous towels fragrant shower gels and shampoos. There s a choice of teas and coffee in all the rooms with fresh milk flat screen TV s with Freeview & DVD players and Free WIFI with varying views from the windows each bedroom has its own distinctive character. Dogs are not allowed in the house but there are kennels available in the barn. Why not stop and visit Mid Wales it s an undiscovered gem.

Directions to Gwaenynog SY21 0LJ: From Welshpool journey time approx 25 minutes Follow the signs for the A458 signposted Dolgellau and Machynlleth heading west for approx 12 miles. Once through Cyfronydd there is a right turn signposted Dolanog and Meifod on the B4382. It s on a sharp left bend on the A458 but there is a filter lane for turning right. You take the second left signposted Dolanog (on the corner is a caravan park called Pen y Pentre. At the crossroads go straight across. It s also signposted to Dolanog on B4382. (fyi right is signposted to Meifod and left to Dolgellau.) After approx two miles (it does seem longer but keep going) take the second left and you head up the hill. (NB: Look out for our yellow signs.) (Should you miss this turning and end up in the village you can take an alternate route before the bridge in Dolanog take this left turn using the left fork. Then follow this up the hill for about 1 mile. We re 300yds beyond the crossroads at the top
