For centuries Honiton has been renowned for lace pottery and glove making and although these time honoured crafts are no longer carried out to their former extent Honiton has numerous specialist shops dedicated to both lace and pottery. br / br / br / br / Splatthayes is within easy reach of both of the West Country s National Parks - Dartmoor and Exmoor as well as being close to Exeter - the ancient capital of the South West. Vast tracts of the area surrounding Honiton are designated as areas of outstanding natural beauty and the town s location near to the River Otter provides the visitor with an abundance of country walks and footpaths to explore. br / br / br / br / Guests in the bed and breakfast have the use of the lounge dining room and grounds in which to relax. Directions to Splatthayes B&B Honiton

Exeter Airport - Train: A Taxi service can be arranged from the Airport to Splatthayes br/ br/ East - Road: Follow A30 to Honiton. Ignore the sign to Honiton and take the exit marked Sidmouth At the T-junction take a left - at the next T-junction (motel on the left) turn right Take next left hand turn to Heathpark Indu. Estate Turn right at T-junction then right again at next T-junction. (This takes you over the A30.) Go past the Otter Inn take the next left marked Buckerell 1 1/2 miles Once in the village take a right hand turning marked Hembury Fort We are the 5th house on the rig br/ br/ North - Road: Leave M5 on junction 28. Take A373 signed to Honiton after 15 minutes the road rises up through a wood. After passing this and descending the hill you will pass Hembury Fort residential home. Approximately of a mile later there is a small lane signed Buckerell. Take this road to the village approximately 2 miles. Note telephone box on the left hand side. Past the phone box is Splatthayes Cottage Splatthayes is the next house along. Our drive can be found between the two houses br/ br/ South - Road: Leave M5 on junction 29 head towards Honiton on A30 Before Honiton take left turn to Fenny Bridges at T-junction turn right then first left to Fenny Bridges Pass Greyhound Pub on left 150 yds after turn left to Buckerell at Rydon Garage 1/4 mile further take right turn to Buckerell Travel for approx 2 miles along a winding lane Turn left to Hembury Fort Splatthayes is 5th house on right hand side br/ br/ London - Train: There is a direct line from London Waterloo to Honiton .The Station is just over 3 miles from Splatthayes so a taxi should be booked in advance if traveling outside core time ( 9am to 5 pm) there is ataxi rank in the high street if travelling within core time .
