We are also in travelling distance of some Essex s prettiest villages including Finchingfield Great Barfield and the market town of Saffron Walden. Directions to Steepleview Bed & Breakfast Dunmow

London and the South - Road: Thaxted is best reached via the M11 motorway. Leave at junction 8 (Stansted Airport) and follow the A120 towards Colchester. After passing Stansted Airport leave the A120 at Great Dunmow (B184) and follow the signs for Thaxted. br/ br/ Cambridge and North - Road: Thaxted is best reached via the M11 motorway. Leave at junction 10 (Duxford) and follow the A505 to the B184. As you enter Saffron Walden turn left on the B184/George Street. Turn right at the B184/Thaxted Road and continue 7 miles to Thaxted. br/ br/ Station - Train: From London take the train from London Liverpool Street station to either Stansted Airport or Bishops Storford (and then by taxi) to Thaxted. There are regular trains throughout the day from London.
