Highertown Cottage can be found in the tiny village of Brompton Regis (approx. 200 inhabitants) nestled in the Brenden Hills in the south east corner of Exmoor National Park in Somerset. With views of rolling farmland this 300 year old two storey cottage with its colourful patio garden has two upstairs double guest rooms which share the bathroom. Comfortably furnished with double glazing and central heating means cosy comfort all year round. A locally sourced hearty breakfast served in the main living room is included in the price and the local pub provides excellent evening meals. Walking cycling horse riding fishing and water sports at nearby Wimbleball Lake (1.8 miles away) are activities our guests can enjoy locally or just relax by the river with a cream tea and watch the world go by. The perfect place for a long or short stress-free break in beautiful Somerset. br / br / br / br / The local village shop is 2 doors away and sells a range of local jams honey and other produce - nice gifts to take home! The attractive town of Dulverton is 4.5 miles away with great local shopping a cash point in the supermarket and the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park. There are also a range of restaurants available to discover there. br / br / br / br / We regret that Highertown Cottage with its steep narrow staircase low ceilings and uneven upstairs floors is unsuitable for physically disabled guests. Older children are welcome (10 ) accompanied by an adult. Off-road parking is available next to the property.

Directions to Highertown Cottage B&B Dulverton

M5 Junction 25 - Road: Exit the M5 motorway at Junction 25 and follow the A358 through Taunton towards Minehead. Continue on the A358 past Bishops Lydeard and after 1.5 miles turn left onto the B3224 signposted to Weddon Cross and Raleigh s Cross. After 15 miles pass Raleigh s Cross hotel on your left. Continue onto the B3190 and after 1.8 miles turn right at Roborough signpost. Continue for 4 milescrossing Wimbleball Lake. Continue slowly to Brompton Regis. The B&B is just past The George Inn pub on the left.. br/ br/ Tiverton - Road: From Tiverton take the A396 north signposted to Bampton & Dulverton.6.3 miles take the 1st exit at the roundabout continuing on the A396. In 13.3 miles turn right at Machine Cross signposted to Brompton Regis. After 2 miles turn right downhill signposted to Brompton Regis and Wimbleball Lake. On entering the village the property can be found on the right just after the Village Hall and Shop. br/ br/ Minehead - Road: Leave Minehead on the A39 heading East. After 1 mile at the traffic lights turn right onto the A396 through Dunster. Follow the A396 to Weddon Cross and turn left at the cross roads onto the B3224.After 2 miles turn right signposted Brompton Regis & Dulverton. Continue for approx 4.5 miles and take the SECOND turning left to Brompton Regis (the first is very narrow) and after 200m turn left again. Contiinue into the village and the property can be found on the right just past the Village Hall. br/ br/ Taunton or Tiverton - Train: The nearest train stations are Taunton or Tiverton. There is no public transport to Brompton Regis.
