Skelghyll Estates Ambleside is situated above Lake Windermere, one of the most beautiful lakes in Britain, on the slopes of Wansfell. Our two properties, Broad Ings & Skelghyll Woods, offer high quality accommodation for groups ranging from 2 to 48 guests. Wonderfully secluded, yet just a short stroll from the picturesque village of Ambleside in the heart of the Lake District, Skelghyll Estates Ambleside is an ideal base from which to explore historic Lakeland, and indeed the whole of the Northern UK. Skelghyll Woods and Broad Ings are the perfect option for most groups, suitable for anything from quiet retreats and romantic getaways to family gatherings, activity holidays, and golf, walking or fishing groups, team building exercises and also large celebrations, such as birthdays, stag/hen weekends and wedding parties.
