We accommodate adults and children over 12 in the BandB; all children welcome in our self-catering cottages (when listed on LateRooms as available) where there are lots of pre-school extras.Clanville Manor was built in 1743 and is situated 2 miles from Castle Cary central for many Somerset towns and 5 miles from the Bath and West Showground. With its wisteria-clad Carystone walls polished English Oak stairs and flagstone hall it has been home to the Snook family for 110 years and we are privileged to share it with BandB guests. Enjoy a cup of tea by the log fire or under the walnut tree walk beside the River Brue swim in the heated outdoor pool or watch the suckler beef herd as they graze in the fields.Clanville Manor is in a rural location and although we support public transport there are very few buses serving the area. Taxis are quite expensive and have to be booked well in advance. We advise that you have a car when you stay at Clanville Manor! An OUTDOOR HEATED POOL open in summer until the end of August

However do not go into Castle Cary. Continue on the A371 through Ansford traffic lights and for about another mile down a hill DO NOT TAKE THE B3152 left turn but take the next left B3153 signposted Somerton. Continue through the village of Clanville for 34 of a mile. You will see signs counting down to the 'low' bridge (4.5m14' 9) which is at the end of our drive. Now follow final directions below From Devon and Cornwall (A303)Take the A37 turning from the A303 at Podimore north signposted BristolShepton Mallet. Continue for 4 miles to the traffic lights at Lydford. Turn right onto the B3153. Follow this for 4 miles through the villages of Lovington and Alford. You will see signs counting down to the 'low' bridge (4.5m14' 9) which is at the end of our drive. Now follow final directions below From the M5Take junction 23 (Bridgwater). Take the A39 signposted Glastonbury and Wells for about 1 mile to a T junction and turn LEFT still on the A39. Follow this for 8 miles until you get to the Pipers Pub. Take the RIGHT hand turn (B3151). Follow B3151 3 miles to a cross-roads (nasty junction)! Go straight across and follow the B3151 for another 4 miles to a T junction. Turn LEFT (B3153). Follow this for 3 miles to traffic lights at Lydford and then for another 4 miles. You will see signs counting down to the 'low' bridge (4.5m14' 9) which is at the end of our drive. Now follow final directions below From the M4Junction 18 follow A46 towards Bath then pick up signs to Radstock A367 and follow that all the way to the A37. Turn left bypass Shepton Mallet and join the A371 signposted Castle Cary. Follow A371 for approximately 6 miles past Castle Cary station take the next right B3153 signposted Somerton. You will see signs counting down to the 'low' bridge (4.5m14' 9) which is at the end of our drive. Now follow final directions below From Bristol AirportFollow the signs for the A38 towards Cheddar for about 8 miles. Take the left fork at this point onto the A371 towards Wells and Shepton Mallet. Follow the A371 all the way to Shepton Mallet (about 18 miles) and then look out for signs still on the A371 to Castle Cary. Keep going on the A371 for another 8 miles when you will pass Castle Cary station on your left. Take the next right B3153 signposted Somerton. You will see signs counting down to the 'low' bridge (4.5m14' 9) which is at the end of our drive. Now follow final directions below Final directionsOur white gate and cattle grid are just under the railway bridge. Most vehicles can use the cattle grid; there is no need to open the gate. Take care on the drive as there are 'speed bumps' drive around to the back of the house. Please open the gate marked 'Guests' car park' and park in the gravelled car park. Please close the car park gate and turn around to face the house and cottage. Follow the signs and the path through the gateway in the wall and to the front garden and front door.We look forward to seeing you!
