To Brecon from London Southern England via the Severn Crossing and from Newport...Leave the M4 at Junction 24 Newport East and follow the signs towards Monmouth (A449). After about 14 miles turn left at Raglan to join the A40 to Abergavenny and pass through Abergavenny and Crickhowell and onto Brecon.Just before Brecon the A40 branches into a dual-carriageway which terminates in a large roundabout. Turn left at this roundabout and take the town by-pass to the next large roundabout where the A40 meets the A470. Turn right into the town following the signs for Llanfaes and Brecon Town Centre for about a mile. When you cross the bridge over the River Usk at the traffic lights turn immediately left into a narrow road signposted towards Cradoc then after 200 metres turn right into Castle Square and the hotel's car park.To Brecon from Birmingham the Midlands and the North...Take the M5 and then the M50 to Ross-on-Wye and then the A449 to Monmouth. 9 miles past Monmouth branch right at Raglan to join the A40 to Abergavenny and pass through Abergavenny and Crickhowell and onto Brecon.Just before Brecon the A40 branches into a dual-carriageway which terminates in a large roundabout. From Swansea and Cardiff approach on the A470 until its hits the same roundabout.At this roundabout follow the signs for Llanfaes and the Town Centre and continue for about a mile. After crossing the bridge over the River Usk at the traffic lights turn immediately left into a narrow road signposted towards Cradoc and after 200 metres turn right into Castle Square and the hotel's car park. You will see the hotel and the castle from the bridge as you cross the River Usk. It's quite a landmark!
