On the headland you can see a jumble of tiny white houses crowded around the ancient harbour. And in the distance Grodrevy Lighthouse immortalised by novelist Virginia Woolf. Our Executive Chef Mark Belsey who has previously worked at prestigious restaurants such as Le Caprice Scotts of Mayfair and The Ivy offers a choice of A la Carte and Table d'Hotel menus using only the freshest of local produce. We can even order St Ives Bay Sea Food Platters Lobsters and Dressed Crabs if you give 24 hours notice. There is nowhere else quite like it welcome to The Porthminster.At the current time we are undergoing a refurbishment programme at The Porthminster and whilst we do not think this will have a negative impact on your stay feel it is only fair to bring this to your attention. The sea views are not affected and all the bedrooms are now refurbished to a high standard. We are also having a new spa facility built and this should be ready by summer 2010. Until this time there will not be a pool available and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
