Built in 1895 this Victorian hotel is rich in individual character with 18 clean and comfortable en suite rooms (no clean-cut lines like modern hotels). Each room provides an office desk and tea/coffee making facilities. Family owned and run for over 30 years the hotel takes great pride in the relaxed friendly atmosphere informal surroundings and warm welcome it offers. The hotel has a small restaurant/bar area offering home-cooked food in the evenings. A strict no-smoking policy operates throughout the hotel. By Car From the South: - Leave the M6 at junction 23 and turn right on to the A580 signposted to Manchester. - Follow the road along until you reach the first roundabout. Turn left onto the A573. - Follow signs for Golbourne Abram and Wigan. - Continue along this road for approximately 4 miles and the hotel is situated on the left-hand side. From the North: - Leave the M6 at junction 27. - Follow the signs to Wigan (approximately 4 miles). - When you reach the duel carriageway (passing Tesco on your right) turn left at the 2nd set of traffic lights following signs for the A573 Golbourne. - Pass Wigan Little Theatre on the left. - Continue along this road through 2 sets of traffic lights for approximately one mile. The hotel is on the right-hand side.
